Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile application Quasar Mobile (the "App") accesses, collects, uses and shares user data. The App is a remote client for the RAINBOW security system and allows the user to interact with the RAINBOW hardware and/or with the server managed by the owner of the installation.

1. Data collected by the App

The App does not collect, store or transmit any personally identifiable data of the user to CIAS Elettronica S.r.l. In particular, the App does not collect name, e-mail address, phone number, location data (GPS), contacts, photos or other personal identifiers.

2. Access credentials and commands to the RAINBOW system

To operate, the App allows the user to enter their access credentials and to send commands to the RAINBOW system. These credentials and commands are used solely to establish the connection and to operate with the RAINBOW hardware and/or the server managed by the owner of the installation. This data does not pass through and is not stored on servers operated by CIAS Elettronica S.r.l. Credentials and any access certificates are stored locally on the user's device and remain under the user's responsibility.

3. Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), a service provided by Google, to deliver push notifications. For this purpose Google generates and manages a registration token associated with the installation of the App on a given device. This token is a technical identifier required to deliver messages; it is not used to identify the user, nor for advertising or profiling purposes. 4. Device permissions

The App may request the following permissions, used solely for the features described:

• Internet access / network state: to communicate with the RAINBOW hardware and/or the installation server and to receive notifications.
• Notifications: to display push alerts related to the system.

5. Sharing of data with third parties

The App does not sell or share personal data with third parties for commercial or advertising purposes. The only sharing of technical data takes place with Google, limited to the registration token required for push notifications to work (see section 3).

6. Data retention

CIAS Elettronica S.r.l. does not retain any personal data or traffic data of the user. Configuration data and credentials are stored locally on the user's device and can be removed by uninstalling the App or clearing its data from the device settings.

7. Security

Access to the RAINBOW system is performed through credentials and/or certificates managed by the user. The user is responsible for safeguarding their own access credentials and certificates. We recommend protecting the device with the available security mechanisms (PIN, password, biometrics).

8. Children's data

The App is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

9. User rights

Since the App does not collect personal data on behalf of CIAS Elettronica S.r.l., no personal data of the user is held by the Controller. For any question regarding data processing, or to exercise the rights provided by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) – where applicable – the user may contact the Controller at the address indicated below.

This policy may be updated over time. Any changes will be published on this page together with the updated date.
